Training & Education
The practice is approved for General Practitioner training and we are privileged to have the services of a fully qualified doctor who is attached to us for 18 months in order to complete their GP training.
As part of this training the GP trainee has to make video recordings of some consultations to help improve their skills. If any doctor wishes to video your consultation this will be discussed with you beforehand and your written consent will be obtained before and after any recording is done. This video recording will be destroyed after the teaching episode has taken place. There is no obligation to have your consultation videoed (please inform a member of staff)
Foundation Year 2 (Junior Doctors) the practice is involved in the training of junior doctors who shall consult with patients during their 4 month attachment.
Medical Students – the practice has been involved in the teaching of medical students from the University of Aberdeen for many years. This means that a Medical Student may be present with the doctor during your consultation. If you wish to be seen on your own then please speak to the receptionist or doctor and this will arranged.
From time to time we have other student health professionals (nurses, pharmacists etc) attached to the practice as part of their university course.
