clock-and-calendarAppointments

Appointments can be made by telephone (dial 0345 337 6340 then press 2) or in person during surgery hours, or via the Vision Online Services (You must register for this service, please as a member of staff for details). Patients are seen by appointment only and are for 10 minutes to allow time to discuss your problem. Please make a separate appointment for each patient.  Individual doctors consult at different times each week on a rota basis. The receptionist can also take a message for your doctor, who will phone you back if necessary.  The "duty doctor" will deal with urgent matters. Triage System

The practice has recently introduced a triage system. To ensure that your request for an appointment/telephone call/home visit is directed to the correct healthcare professional, and to ensure there is adequate time to deal with your problem, reception staff will ask for a brief description of your problem. This will also allow emergencies to be dealt with promptly,  Reception staff abide by the code of confidentiality. Please remember that reception staff are not medically trained so cannot give medical advice.

Preference of Practitioner

Since April 2004, all patients in the UK are now legally registered with the practice and not an individual GP. You can at any time express a preference for a particular doctor, for either all of your medical needs or on a case-by-case basis.  We will do our best to respect your choice however, not all the doctors in the practice provide all services and specific doctors may not be immediately available.

Medical Certificate

You are responsible for self-certification for the first seven days of any illness (including Sundays)

These forms are available on line www.gov.uk.  For other certificates, our doctors are legally obliged to speak to the patient before they sign one.
